Saturation is a mix engineer’s secret weapon, and the SSL Native X-Saturator is the ultimate tool for adding warmth, character, and edge to your audio. With a huge range of distortion characteristics to choose from, this plug-in can add pleasing analog-style even- and odd-order harmonics to your sound. Choose from valve saturation or transistor saturation, or blend the two for the perfect combination of tube warmth and transistor iron. The Shape control allows you to adjust the edge of the distortion, ranging from smooth to hard, while the Wet/Dry knob allows you to process in parallel. Use the SSL Native X-Saturator with a light touch or drive it into grotesque, mangled distortion – the possibilities are endless.
